History

The Tomassetti's were migrant workers to the U.S. in the early 1900's.  Dominic and his son Nicholas, along with his sons, would migrate back and forth to the U.S. to work.  Eventually they would decide to emigrate to Hartford, CT., U.S..  They came to the U.S. from a town called Popoli, Italy in the Abruzzi region just east of Rome.  Sometime earlier, prior to emigration, the Tomassetti's originally might have resided in a small town called Collipietro, just north of Popoli. They moved to Popoli after a marriage.

From what is Known, Dominic Tomassetti had a Son named Nicholas. Nicholas Tomassetti was married to Ana Santoro, or a, or i, we are not sure of the ending.  They had Children named Armando, Phyllis, Dominic, and Anthony.  Armando married Marie Masciovecchio. They had two children named Loraine and Nicholas. Phyllis married Joseph Inturri and had two children named Charlie and Joe.  Dominic was known around Hartford as Mim or Hooks Tomassetti, reportedly for inventing the hook shot in basketball. Tony or Anthony had no children.  We are of the Armando side of the Tomassetti Clan.
